Conveyancing when Remortgaging a propertyWhen remortgaging your property, a Conveyancer will be appointed to complete the Conveyancing process for the remortgage. Conveyancing differs somewhat from taking out short term loans because they key in conveyancing is the transfer of a title of property usually used for remortgages or the granting of a mortgage or a lien or security for the payment of a debt and other obligations. Step 1Once you have contacted a Conveyancer to assist with the remortgaging of your home, they will begin by getting a copy of the title deeds from your current lender and a redemption certificate. Step 2Once the offer has been received if any searches are required to be conducted this will be done. The mortgage documents will be sent to you to sign along with a redemption statement and the details of any other loans. Once this has been signed, a completion date will be agreed. Step 3The signed mortgage document will need to be returned along with any outstanding balance to your Conveyancer. The next step involves them paying off your existing mortgage and any other loans, on completion day. The Conveyancer will then debit their legal fees and the remaining amount will be forwarded to you. The new mortgage will be registered at the Land Registry by the Conveyancer. As soon as the title is registered the lender will be sent the original document and you will be forwarded a copy. |
